Governor Josh Stein announced that more than $41 million will be invested in the Completing Access to Broadband program. The projects will establish high-speed fiber internet connections for households and businesses across 17 counties, including Davidson, Wilkes and Caswell.

North Carolina is receiving a $500,000 federal grant to help people afford high-speed internet access. 

The communications company NorthState is pledging a $51 million investment to expand fiber-optic internet service to Forsyth and Randolph counties. 

The $3.2 billion temporary pandemic program will last for up to six months after the pandemic is over or until the funds run out.
